Emme loves Big Mama Gorilla. Big Mama Gorilla is not a dog toy, but a child's toy that I bought for Rudy because I loved the soft feel of it. Ever since Emme was a puppy, she has taken over Big Mama Gorilla for her favorite lovie. She carries it around the house, takes it out on the deck, and brings it along for nap time. If Emme is reprimanded for barking at the living room window, she has to dash to Big Mama Gorilla and love her for solace.
If Big Mama Gorilla dies, we have another in reserve. It would be awful to lose your best friend and not have a replacement. We are prepared.

Hi Mary Lou,
After reading Moma Gorilla I wanted to make a quick recommendation for when you switch out the old lovie for the new. We've had this problem arise and have learned how much our dogs love their stuffed friends. I would remove some material from Emme's OLD Moma Gorilla before you discard it and sew some onto her new one before you give it to her. Better yet, do it and toss out where she can find it on her own. We have had such a problem with our Quinn. He loves his Mr.Elephant. It became so ragged we tried to replace it with a duplicate and it was a complete NO GO! Quinn would have nothing to do with it. I then used the new elephant to patch the old one. I even replaced the squeaker. That seemed to work for awhile. Now, because the repaired Mr. Elephant is ready for that used toybox in the sky....I'm ordering another new one and using the material from the old one to sew patches onto the new one --in a lame attempt to satisfy Quinn. They KNOW their lovies and will take NO immitations in their place!! Good Luck!!
To your continued good health!!
Darlene
