The NPR Dog

Every morning after breakfast, Emme and I go into the laundry room for a clean up. The first thing I do is turn on the radio to Morning Edition on National Public Radio. As an aside, my son Eric, is the Director of Programming and Acquisitions for NPR. Then I spread a white towel on top of the dryer to create a grooming table. I fill two bowls: one with water and puppy shampoo and the other with rinse water. I wash Emme's face and paws and then I brush her coat. All the time we are cleaning up, we listen to "Morning Edition". I bet Emme is the only puppy who can recognize Renee Montagne's voice.
