The Enforcer

We use a plant mister to deter bad dog behavior. Both dogs hate it. If Emme and Rudy are misbehaving, we get out the plant mister, AKA "The Enforcer," and spray the dogs while saying "No," or "Quiet," or "Down." It only takes a spray or two and the behavior stops immediately. Often we don't even need to spray the mister. Just reaching for the bottle is enough to quickly change behavior.

Lately, we have been going crazy with the dogs acting wild when someone comes to the door. They bark and jump and act like they have never heard the commands "Quiet," "Sit," or "Down." So we decided to use the plant mister. I went to the store and bought additional plant misters so we could have one by each door. Ken hung the mister on the door knob with a rubber band. Does it work? Who knows. We haven't had a visitor since we bought the new plant mister. But we are ready for the next time the door bell rings.
