As soon as Emme and Rudy get up, they need to go outside to take care of business. Right after that, they need love. It is lucky that Ken has two hands, because both dogs need to be loved, right now. Both Emme and Rudy need to have some attention and it is a sweet way to start a day, for both dogs and humans.
