One thing that each dog does every morning is spend some time loving their special lovies. Emme usually gets Big Momma Gorilla and Rudy gets the Really Big Lovie teddy bear. They lie on the rug and mouth the lovies. Emme sometimes makes little whiney sounds as she is settling in; Rudy is always silent. They will lie there for minutes at a time with their lovies. Sometimes they fall asleep in that position. Ken and I drink coffee, read the paper and do Sudoko and crossword puzzles while Emme and Rudy are occupied. This is a nice quiet way to start the day.
